Welcome to 924-Kei

This website, "924-Kei", focuses on Porsche 924, 944 and 968 and is managed by Mr. Yuuki.

"Kei" is a Japanese word meaning sort of family or group, but it does not form a formal club with membership systems. Therefore, anybody who is interested in Porsche 924/944/968 can read, write and participate in the bulletin board at 924-Kei website.

Through this website, we often hold off-the-line meetings on a spot basis and an annual meeting on around 24th September which we call "924 Day".

There is no official 924/944/968 website in Japan.

Unfortunately, language used here is basically Japanese and only e-mails written in Japanese can be responded by Mr. Yuuki.

Japanese models had special standard equipment such as catalizers and warning lights of exhaust temprature.
924S was equipped with flared front wheel arch moulding to pass regulations in Japan.
All the 968CS in Japan came with air-conditioners and electric windows.

924S Exclusive models

In 1988, Porsche released the limited model of 924S.
While 980 cars were sold as "924S Le mans" in the world, 20 cars were sold as "924S Club Sport" in Japan.
This Japanese limited model had some equipment different from world models, e.g. "bee sting" roof antenna.
12 cars out of 20 were MT models, and I own one of them!

924S Version 1: Exterior black, flank protector strips painted in car color, cast alloy wheels in black with turquoise rims, front 6J*15, rear 7J*15, standard tires 195/65 VR 15.
Interior: black Leatherette sports seats, all-cloth seat upholstery with special flannel cloth in gray/turquoise, turquoise Leatherette, cloth door panels.
924S Version 2: alpine white. special flannel cloth in gray/ocher.

Among other itemes: thicker torsion bars and stabilizers, firmer and adjustable shock absorbers, plus front springs which can be altered at will.
